Hog Lake, Spokane County, Washington

Hog Lake (53 acres.
Attention... This lake is a winter fishing lake only. It is open to fishing and gate unlocked to the launch from the day after Black Friday in November to March 31. Access is allowed via hiking in unless otherwise posted.
Hog lake, which is unofficially known as Hog Canyon Lake) is 5-50' deep and .7 miles long. I could not imagine trying to trailer a heavy boat down the steep road to the lake so it's best to take a light weight boat to this lake if using a

trailer. The boat launch is very primitive but well defined to launch from. This would be a nice lake to hit the first part of the day and then in the same day go boat on Fishtrap Lake. At the launch site there are restrooms. The creak leading into this lake has a set of small beautiful water falls... we will be exploring this soon and will add the info here shortly. Directions: From Spokane, go west or from Moses Lake go east on I-90 to Exit 254, then south 2 miles on Old State Highway to Lake Valley Loop Rd. Where this road intersects with Jack Brown Rd N look straight ahead and you will see a gate, go through the gate and this roads leads to the lake.

Maps: To view a map click on google.com/maps and type in Downs Lake, WA. and then slide straight above Downs Lake new HWY 95 and you will see Fishtrap lake on the map, then just up a little and to the right (Northeast) you will see a lake only on aerial view. You will need to pan in a little.
