Chase Lake, Bonner County, Idaho

Chase Lake (193 acres)
This is located just east of Coolin Idaho not far from the southeast corner of Priest Lake. This lake is typically overlooked due to Priest Lake being so close, yet this small lake is known by the locals as a good fishing lake and also a nice lake to view wildlife from. The boat launch is Gravel with a dock next to it, there is also an accessible restroom, with small area for parking. This is a "no wake" lake and is full of marine vegetation other than a small area in the middle of the lake so motors don't work so well on it. The predominate floating vegetation is dollar pads with some lily pads as well. The boat launch area is only a few feet deep. There are some small groups islands in the lake the largest of which is about a half acre in size near on the east side of the lake. Fishing: Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Largemouth Bass. ACCESSIBILITY: PARKING... Gravel, dirt parking area; PATHS/TRAILS... Single paved path from parking area to dock; RESTROOMS/FACILITIES/SHADE… None. Shade via trees; DOCKS/LAUNCHES/PLATFORMS… One dock. Single lane dirt/gravel launch at about 4% grade; DIRECT WATER ACCESS… No access for wheeled mobility devices. Absolutely no access to water other than via launch; TRANSFER SYSTEMS... None; SENSORY... No sensory tactile markers for those with visual and other impairments; CAMPING... None; O.T.H.E.R… Oddities/Barriers: Mud, marine vegetation along shoreline; Terrain: Level to 5% grades; H2O/Water: Water murky. Water temperature in the summer can be around 60 to 70 degree.
