Red Lake, Stevens County, Washington

Red Lake (Elevation 1784)
This lake is about 900 ft long by 200 wide, 6 miles west of Tumtum, WA. on HWY 291. The lake locally is known as a nice place to swim and fish. This is a no motor/wake lake, could not get a boat into the lake anyways. It's a great lake to catch panfish and bass on. Directions: In the city of Spokane, WA. US take the following Exit. From I-90 Eastbound – Take Exit 280 (Maple St) and turn left onto Walnut; From I-90 Westbound – Take Exit 280 (Maple St) and turn right onto S. Walnut St.; Turn slightly left onto Maple Street Bridge. Stay Straight to go onto N. Maple St. Turn Left onto W. Northwest Blvd. Turn Right onto N. Cochran St. N. Cochran St. becomes N. Driscoll Blvd. Turn slight Left onto N. Nine Mile Rd. Nine Mile Rd. becomes HWY 291. Follow this Highway through the city of Tumtum. 6 Miles past Tumtum on HWY 291 when you come to the top of the hill and then descend a little you will see the lake to your right. Its easy to miss if you do not pay attention. There is no parking official parking area so you will have to park  along the HWY. ACCESSIBILITY: PARKING... Gravel, Dirt combo parking along road (park totally off paved road); PATHS/TRAILS... None; RESTROOMS/FACILITIES/SHADE… None; DOCKS/LAUNCHES/PLATFORMS… None. Launch off very steep bank after hiking down the rocky hill of 10% grade plus; DIRECT WATER ACCESS… No access for wheeled mobility devices; TRANSFER SYSTEMS... None; SENSORY... No sensory tactile markers for those with visual and other impairments; CAMPING... No; O.T.H.E.R… Oddities/Barriers: Steep rocky, dirty bank of 10% plus grade; Terrain: Rocky, dirt, steep 10% plus grades; H2O/Water: Water normally murky. Water temperature in the summer can be around 60 to 70 degree. No drinking water available; Environmental Conditions: Varies; Resources: Food, drinks, and gas in city of Spokane.
