Dragon Creek
Dragon Creek is a beautiful clean creek that whines through forested hills and farmland eventually entering Little Spokane River. The creek is too small for kayaking but some do fish the creek. The main access to this creek is at Dragon Creek State Park. The state park website is almost useless related to park info... click here for park website. The parking has tent campsites and some site are large enough for RV's but with no hook ups. There is a restroom and dirt hiking trails. One can walk to the creek via a large grass field to the water's edge. Directions/Maps: Visit google.com/maps type in GPS coordinates 47.888301, -117.443261
ACCESSIBILITY: PARKING... Gravel, Dirt combo parking along road (park totally off paved road), and at campsites; PATHS/TRAILS... One paved path to restroom. Other trails are dirt/sand combo, not accessible to wheelchairs; RESTROOMS/FACILITIES/SHADE… One fully accessible restroom. Shade via trees; SENSORY... No sensory tactile markers for those with visual and other impairments. DOCKS/LAUNCHES/PLATFORMS… None. Creek to small to access by any watercrafts; DIRECT WATER ACCESS… No access for wheeled mobility devices; TRANSFER SYSTEMS... NA; CAMPING... Several accessible tent campsites; O.T.H.E.R… Oddities/Barriers: Muddy at times. Level to 7% plus grades; Terrain: Gravel, dirt, sand surfaces. Level to 7% plus grades; H2O/Water: Water normally clear. Drinking water available; Environmental Conditions: Varies; Resources: Food, drinks, and gas in town of Deer Park.
