This lake in Bonner County Idaho is technically a private lake with public access on Vista Utility land, just east of Clark Fork, Idaho above the city of Clark Fork, Idaho on a hill in a beautiful forested setting. The view overlooking the Clark Fork River and Lake Pend Oreille is spectacular. This is a "no motors allowed" lake, with no restroom or overnight camping allowed. There are, however, 2 fire pits, and some primitive hiking trails. Fishing: Arctic Grayling, Cutthroat Trout, Eastern Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed. Directions: Lake Dimensions & Coordinates: 16 acres; Maximum depth estimated at 20 ft; elevation 2754 ft; Coordinates T55N R2E Sec 12D. Longitude 116d 9m 6s -to- 116d 9m 27s west. Latitude 48d 8m 3s -to- 48d 8m 9s N. Directions: The road you need to access this lake is just 2 miles east of Clark Fork Idaho on HWY 200 (measured from Sportsman access sign in downtown Clark Fork), on the north side of the road, road number 57209. There is a white Vista Utilities sign at the beginning of the road. When going east on HWY 200 you know you have passed the road if you see a blue sign that says boaters/anglers tune radio to am 1610 AM. Going west you have gone too far if the road nears the river and you can see a bridge. The road to the lake winds up hill about a mile. The road can only be traveled by 4x4 vehicles due to certain points in the road which are extremely rough with loose sand, rocks and small boulders. Maps: View map below...
