Silver Lake, Spokane County, Washington

Silver Lake
This lake is similar to the other lakes in this section even though it’s a much longer lake (Longest lake in the Medical Lakes area) and the wind really rips from one end to the other during those summer wind storms. This is a great boating lake for any water sport activities. Water depth for this lake range from 5 to 20'. The South end of the lake is very shallow with depths of 2-7'. Silver Lake has two resorts located on South end of the lake. On the North end is also the lakes sole public boat launch with no power lines or low hanging branches to block the launch of sailboats.  At the South end of this lake there is a “Big Swamp” pond area, and just as its name implies, it’s a big swamp and a great place to view waterfowl. Plus on the South end is a small flat Island. Directions: From Spokane, go west on I-90, go 10 miles to Four Lakes, then northwest on W. Medical Lake-Four Lakes Road, go 3 miles to Public Fishing sign. Resorts: The public boat launch is located right off of W. Medical Lake-Four Lakes Rd. and Rudy's Resort (you can see both Resorts from this public launch site). RUBY'S RESORT (509-299-7829) has RV & tents sites, a dock, and boat rentals. This resort has NO boat launch but you could easily launch a kayak from this site. The fact about this resort as compared to the other resort on this lake is that it has lots of trees for shade from the hot summer days. PICNIC PINES RESORT. Attention Currently Closed (509-299-3223) has RV & tents sites, big beach area, and a paved boat launch with no power lines or low hanging branches. This resort also has a large beach for great swimming. This road is off of S. Silver Lake Rd. just off of W. Medical Lake-Four Lakes Rd. Maps: View printable lake map below.
