Private. Small Boats, No Motors Allowed
Radiant Lake (20 acres) is Idaho’s newest lake. This is a no motor lake. This lake draws its water from one of the largest aquifers in the United States and will maintain its water level (8 ft) in even the driest of summer months. Its a nice lake to swim in early in the summer but fills with algae by mid summer as it gets hot, so the lake is not very Radiant. Its really gross to swim or boat in. I feel sorry for the people who buy a house on this lake thinking they are going to have a nice lake to do water activities on and in. The lake is particularly good for sailing on due to the winds that consistently come across the prairie, one just have to remember not to get in the water. Many times this lake will have wind when none of the large natural lake do. During the winter it is a nice ice skating on. There are 3 parks around this lake where both children and adults can indulge in a friendly game of basketball, volleyball or just relax on the beach and enjoy the simple pleasures of a family picnic. Directions: To access this lake from either Spokane WA. or from Coeur d’Alene ID. you need to go to Post Falls Idaho on I-90 and take Exit 7 and go north on Hwy 41, then right on W Nagel Rd, right again on the first available street.
