Dawson Lake is an ideal lake for fishing, kayaking, sailing, etc. It has a "no wake" rule, so of course it isn't appropriate for high speed activities. The launch is made of cement slabs and descends gradually into the lake to about the end of the dock. A well kept accessible restroom is available by this launch. A trail (accessible) from this launch going south takes you to a fishing dock. There is also a small parking area along the road that is next to an accessible trailer to the fishing dock. The trail is smooth but after a wind storm or after the long winter fallen branches will likely be on the trail.
ACCESSIBILITY SCALE: 1. Parking... Gravel and Mud, One accessible parking space; 2. Restroom… Accessible; 3. Dock(s)… Accessible; 4. Direct Water Access… Accessible via boat launch; O.T.H.E.R… Oddities/Barriers: Trails can be block via branches after winds storms/winter; Trails/Paths: Accessible; H2O/Water: Lake water is clean but can become a bit stagnant in late summer; Lake shoreline is filled with aquatic plants, lily pads, etc; Environmental Conditions… No issues; Resources: No near by stores, gas stations, running water, No camping but there is small some open space for Picnicing.
