EARTH WIND MAP

Check out this new EARTH WIND MAP by visiting this link... Click Here. This map is a animated visualization of global wind forecasts, updated every three hours. I played around with it for a while by rotating the earth and zooming in to see what the wind was doing in my area (the Inland NW). The map is not detailed at all related to the land features such as rivers and mountains, but if you look at the wind patterns in the Pacific NW you can see the wind fanned out over the Columbia basin and then see the wind turn to a funnel affect as it passed through the Columbia Gorge. Also you can see where the wind is moving around the Rocky Mountains and also funneling through hells canyon of the Snake River so its kind of easy to figure out where you are at on the map generally.
