RACES

Skipper Miles Moore will be sailing their 18-foot/4.5-meter Malbec18 sportboat in the WA360, a race around the Puget Sound of WA state USA this June 2025 and then in the R2AK, all the way from Port Townsend WA USA to Victoria CAN (Vancouver Island, across the Strait of Juan De Fuca - Called the proving grounds, about 40 miles), and onto Ketchikan Alaska (750 miles/1207 km).

June 2025 WA360 is technical prep for the R2AK. However, the WA360 is no slouch when it comes to a long-distance race, with its challenging tides and currents, varied weather and water conditions, navigation skills and physical strength needed. Like with the R2AK no motors are allowed. This race starts and ends in Port Townsend WA, racing around the Puget Sound.

I love sailing at night with a clear sky. Seeing the North Star reminds me of the Christmas star that gives us direction when we sail through the storms of life.  No matter our challenges there is only one who leads us True North.

I will be dedicating my efforts in the WA360 and R2AK to continue the promotion and expansion of our Marine Access Guide and to also bring awareness to men's suicide prevention. and to create an access chair for the Malbec18 sailboat so those with various disAbled can enjoy sailing also. I am also working on having both races include live video so those with and without disAbilities can be on the voyages with us. Click on the following to learn more. If you can afford it, please donate and/or sponsor me in the races and projects.
