Hobie Wave in a pickup bed

This is how well a Wave fits in the back of a 6 foot/1.8 meter bed of a pick up truck. In this picture the boat sticks out about 6. The rule is an item can not stick out more than 4 feet from your rear bumper (this rule varies from state to state). Must also have a safety flag. There are what we call T Hitch Extenders that can give support if an item is sticking way out of the back of your vehicle. I recommend using one when boats stick out like this as seen in this picture. One can also add taillights underneath to the horizontal bar, again something I recommend. One can buy these lights from Harbor Freight and other businesses.
