Round Lake, Bonner County, Idaho

ROUND LAKE (120 acres)
The name of this lake is very appropriate as it is nearly perfectly round. This is a very well known fishing lake. There is a stream that enters on the east then exits from the west side and is a blast to paddle on. The east side has a really nice marsh with very defined channels which are great to explore and fish in. One can see fish darting in and out of the weeds, and plenty of waterfowl. It’s a very clean lake with only electric motors allowed when it comes to motor power. The day I was at the lake there was a nice west wind crossing the lake for most of the day; I had a nice day sailing my sail yak here. The state park has many tent and RV sites, with of course restrooms and running water. There is a trail that goes all the way around the lake. The boat launch is fine gravel but is hard surface, and there is a dock next to the launch with a fishing area at the end of the dock. Fishing: Brook Trout, Bullhead Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Perch, Pumpkinseed, Rainbow Trout. See sign when fishing at this lake. For more fishing info call 208-769-1414. Directions: On HWY 95 traveling from either Sandpoint ID. or Coeur d'Alene, ID... Follow the signs to Round Lake State Park. You will turn west on Dufort Road. Just a short distance up the road you will see the entrance to the park. Day use and camping fees apply. Maps: View interactive google map above or visit google.com/maps type in GPS coordinates 48.164108, -116.637560 INFO: Click here for park and boating info https://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/parks/round-lake
